Responsible for a great change in posture, pregnancy can cause back pain and discomfort. Many women find gentle osteopathic treatment can bring great relief. We are experienced at treating mothers and babies for a whole range of symptoms during pregnancy. Treatment can be postural advice and gentle treatment which help some conditions in the infant, following the birth and beyond. We use gentle and specific structural (massage, mobilising and manipulation) and cranial techniques and offer advice on exercise and health. There are often specific changes in posture and weight bearing (how the baby is carried) at certain times during the pregnancy and after, the osteopath can explain this and advise you on your spine, posture and curves as to whether and when you may need treatment. If you would like to discuss this further or if we can be of help then do please call.
Daryl Herbert's instructional videos provide a visual and audible description of Osteopathic Minimal (short) Lever Mid Range Manipulation Techniques, for osteopaths, physiotherapists, manual therapists, mid to senior level students, graduates and post graduates. Techniques demonstrated look at the basic spinal regions, the spinal junctions, the sacro-iliac joints, ribs and the lower and upper extremity joints.
